So you have decided to get a rig, now which one? We usually recommend to customers that they have already ordered, or know which GPU / Video Cards they plan to use prior to purchasing a rig.

If you haven't done so already, please check out our article on how to choose an appropriate GPU / Video card here

You will have noticed our rigs are split into two identifiers

  1. # Number of GPUS
  2. Starter (Lower power cards <=200W) or Power (higher power cards >200W)

For example our Power 8 rig is designed for 8 GPUs, and is designed to run higher powered GPUS

How do I know the Power rating of a Video Card?

You can usually google "Max TDP XXXX" and replace with the card name to find out the maximum power requirements for a card. Note, it is the Max TDP power which is important here rather than the Mining Power, as you need to protect against the very small chance that your rig suddenly draws full power from all cards. Failure to do this could result in damage to your PSUS / Cards.

Here is a handy list of the most popular cards and the recommended rigs for them for 6/8/12 cards.
